Privacy & Cookie Policy

What we store about you, why we store it, and the choices you have. Written in plain language, because privacy should be understandable.

Who we are

FEMPOWERMENT is a community platform for women, operated by FEMPOWERMENT MOVEMENT EVENTS L.L.C, a limited liability company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Commercial License No. 1465995, issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai; Commercial Register No. 2681750), with its registered office at Office A1-306, Dubai Sports City, Al Hebiah Fourth, Dubai, UAE. The platform is reachable at thefempowerment.com. For anything in this policy, you can contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account data — your email address, name, date of birth, country and (only if you choose to share it) your phone number.
  • Community activity — event registrations (RSVPs), your interests and your referral link statistics.
  • Communication records — a log of the emails we send you (for example your welcome email or event invitations), so we never send the same email twice.
  • Technical data — basic security logs such as login events, used to keep your account safe.

We do not ask for, and do not want, more data than the community needs to function.

How we use your data

  • To run your membership: signing in, confirming your email, managing event registrations.
  • To send you community emails: a welcome message, event invitations and occasional community news. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time by writing to us.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the community grows — never to profile you individually.

We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers.

Cookies & analytics

We keep cookies to a minimum:

  • Essential cookies — needed to keep you signed in. These are always on; the site cannot work without them.
  • Analytics (optional) — we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit our pages. It only sets cookies if you click Accept on our cookie banner. If you click Decline (or ignore the banner), Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode that sends only anonymised signals, and no analytics cookies are stored on your device. IP addresses are anonymised either way.

Your choice is stored in your browser and remembered. To change your mind later, clear this site's browsing data in your browser — the banner will ask again on your next visit.

Service providers

A small number of trusted providers process data on our behalf, strictly to run this platform:

  • IONOS (Germany/EU) — hosting of our website and database.
  • Cloudflare — security and content delivery in front of our website.
  • Resend — delivery of the emails we send you.
  • Google Analytics — visitor statistics, only as described above.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data; only minimal records that we are legally required to keep (or that are needed to prevent abuse) may be retained.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data. Just email [email protected] from your registered address — we respond to every request.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will let you know by email.
